Young women with unplanned pregnancies often experience incredible stress during this time of unexpected change. Operating from a state of panic and self-protection, it can be challenging for them to think creatively and consider what they truly want for themselves and their babies.

Coaching can help. In this episode, you’ll hear part of Chris McCluskey’s opening talk at a recent Banquet for Life event, where he shared encouraging updates, such as:

  • How coaching creates a space for women to think calmly, and creatively, and make informed decisions
  • Real-life examples of the impact coaching have had on young women in the Rolla, MO area
  • The dramatic statistics showing the effectiveness of Options Coaching
  • The power of coaching in supporting young women with unplanned pregnancies and helping them create the life they truly want.

  • The experience of mentor coaching, whether in a group or individual setting

  • What to expect from mentor coaching, including skills development, identifying a recording for a credential application, and discovering and developing your unique coaching style

  • How to choose a mentor coach based on fit, learning style, and feedback preferences

  • Who can be a mentor coach, their responsibilities, and the mentor coach requirements

Joining us in our "How I Became a Coach" series is Dale Young, PCC, who comes from a diverse background in IT work, corporate management, and co-founding a tech company. However, despite his success, Dale still felt like he had a "job" instead of a career he loved. This awareness was the first step in Dale's journey towards becoming a professional coach.

Though the transition into coaching wasn't always smooth, Dale persevered through health problems, financial difficulties, and an unwanted divorce. Today, Dale is thrilled to have found the career he loves.

Tune in to this candid conversation as Dale shares his experiences and insights, offering you encouragement, wisdom, and godly inspiration.

As coaches, it's easy to get caught up in helping others and neglect our own spiritual health. However, we cannot pour into others from an empty cup. To be effective coaches, we must prioritize our own soul care and cultivate a deep connection with God.

In this second episode of our “Soul Care for Coaches” series, we focus on “seasons of serving.” Just as a vinedresser carefully tends to the grapevines, God lovingly tends to us in different ways during different seasons.  Tune in as we explore the value of looking at our work and ministry lives from a “seasonal” perspective and the ways we can best cooperate with God during each vital season.
